Maritime work depicting the U.S.S. Conestoga powering through high seas. The Conestoga, a tug boat commissioned by the U.S. Navy in 1917 sank in the Pacific Ocean in 1921.
Signed lower left "M. Randall", annotated on reverse "Eight bells in the morning watch".
From a Providence, Rhode Island gentleman.
