⁂ The first is a scarce work on tobacco with plates depicting tobacco plants, methods of cultivation & processing, and pipes. These are the same plates as in the first Latin edition of 1622 and are the first depictions of native Americans growing tobacco. Only one copy of this edition has appeared at auction, in 1948, also with only 8 engravings.
