A scarce work by Hobson on Chinese pottery. Hobson (1872-1941) was the keeper of the Dept. of Ceramics and Ethnography at the British Museum, and an authority on eastern ceramics. He was instrumental in elevating Chinese ceramics to the status of fine art in the west.
