Two volumes in Japanese, each page on double-folded rice paper, with watercolor print images in color and sepia tones of nature (flowers, insects, trees) and rural people. 11½x7, Japan-bound silk paper wrappers, paper cover labels, embroidered portfolio with bone clasps.
Elegantly illustrated with delicate brushtrokes subtly depicting dragonflies and crickets, cherry blossoms and bamboo, Zen monks and rural fishermen, etc. Some text, but all in Japanese calligraphy.
