1869 “G.T. Beauregard Pres” Boldly Signed New Orleans, Jackson & G.N. Railroad Pass “The Hero of Fort Sumter”
PIERRE GUSTAVE TOUTANT de BEAUREGARD (1818-1893). First Prominent General of the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War as the First Confederate Brigadier General. Nicknamed: “The Little Napoleon” & “The Hero of Fort Sumter.”
January 27, 1869-Dated, Partly-Printed Document Signed, “G.T. Beauregard Pres”, measuring about 3.75” x 2.25”, 1 page, New Orleans, (LA). Very Fine. Being a New Orleans, Jackson & G.N. Railroad Pass. Beauregard signs as President. Disclaimer and confiscation instructions printed on reverse. A lightly, actually used Pass with an impressive deep bold brown signature across the body at center written vertically. Very cool looking in appearance.
