May 17, 1886-Dated, Partially-Printed Document Signed, “Fred. K Douglass” as Recorder of Deeds, Washington, D.C., Choice Very Fine. Three pages in a stapled and folded cover, with his signature on the front. Folded size about 3.25” x 8” with interior pages in excellent condition, folded. Exterior cover sheet shows moderate age toning with edge and corner chips, some separation at folds. Signature is deep brown, “Fred. K Douglass” is on the front cover is crisp and clear measuring about 2.25” long. We sold a similar example in our EAHA Auction of April 2015 for $510. Ex: Russ & Jane Sears Maryland Collection.
