October 16, 1906-Dated, Letter Signed, “J. P. Morgan”, New York, Very Fine. Written on “23 Wall Street” Letterhead, measuring about 4.75” x 7.75”, Morgan writes to, “Chas Emory Smith Esq.” in Philadelphia. He pens: "My dear Mr. Smith, Mrs. Estebrooke called on me today with your note. I was greatly interested in her statement and was able to assist her some what, although probably not as much as she hoped. I remain yours very truly, (Signed) J. P. Morgan". Signature in deep heavy bold brown ink having a couple trivial spots of extra ink, measuring a large 2.5” long. Includes original transmittal envelope. (2 items).
