1907 Theodore Roosevelt Signed Presidential Document
THEODORE ROOSEVELT (1858-1919). Twenty-Sixth President of the United States (1901-1909). Roosevelt was also the first of only three sitting presidents to have won the Nobel Peace Prize. He launched the Bull Moose Party that called for far-reaching progressive reforms.
August 15, 1907-Dated, Partly-Printed Document Signed, “Theodore Roosevelt” as President, 1 page, measures 22” x 18”, Washington, mounted to heavy card for prior display, Choice Extremely Fine. This impressive large Document appoints, “Calvin F. Smith... Consul of the United States of America at Zanzibar”. Large official embossed white State Department Seal is sharp and fully intact at lower left. Clean and vivid, with some minor tone at the extreme left margin which would be covered when framed for display. Boldly Signed in deep brown ink, “Theodore Roosevelt” as President, measuring a huge 5” long at bottom right.
