West Virginia Remains Loyal to the Union! Rare Imprint
July 1, 1861, "ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY...," City of Wheeling, VA, Printed at the Daily Press Book and Job Office, Very Fine.
The second part of this volume is titled: "Ordinances of the Convention Assembled at Wheeling, June 11, 1861." It was at this session that the government of the state was re-organized upon Union principles--allowing west Virginia to split off from the rest of the state, and to remain loyal to the Union. The booklet measures 8.3" x 5.5", 66 pages, plus cover, light foxing on pages, and some penciled notes from the original owner. This booklet has its original paper covers, very legible printing, and is very scarce!
