Set of Three (3) President Andrew Johnson Impeachment Trial Admission Tickets to the Gallery at the United States Senate with one being a Rare Ticket Dated on the Exact Day of President Johnson’s Aquittal, Fine to Very Fine.
Three different Admittance Tickets to the Gallery of the U.S. Senate for viewing the "Impeachment of the President". All Three (3) Tickets bear the printed facsimile signature of George T. Brown, as Sergeant-at-Arms of the U.S. Senate, printed by Philp & Solomons, Washington and have prior mounting on their blank reverses. A historic Set of Three Tickets, including one very rare Ticket from the actual Day of President Andrew Johnson’s official Acquittal Vote.
1. March 23, 1868-Dated, Orange color Ticket, measures 3” x 3.5” no Stub attached, prior display mounting paper on the blank reverse, face side is Choice Very Fine.
2. April 14, 1868-Dated, Cream color Ticket is mostly covered on its lower 2/3rds by deep grey tone, measures 3” x 5” with its Full Original Stub Intact and Attached, prior display mounting paper on the blank reverse, Fine.
3. May 26, 1868-Dated, White color Ticket with light tone, measures 3” x 3.5” no Stub attached, prior display mounting paper on the blank reverse, Fine. A very historic Ticket as on this date of May 26, 1868, the U.S. Senate “Acquitted” President Johnson by a vote of 35 to 19, that count being only one vote shy of the two-thirds majority required for conviction!
