AMERICAN HISTORICAL VIRGINIA HISTORY VOLUMES, SET OF THREE, John Burk, "The History of Virginia, from Its First Settlement to the Present Day", 1804/1805, printed for the author by Dickson & Pescud, Petersburg, VA, in three volumes, leather boards, remnants of labels to spines, Vols. I and II with marbled endpapers/pastedowns and modern bookplates.
Fair condition overall, significant wear to boards/spines, front boards either detached at joint, or nearly detached, boards present, Vol. III with back board nearly detached as well, Vol. II with front endpaper detached but present, each with toning, moderate stains and foxing, and some creases to interiors, still very legible, some with minor inscriptions or notations to end papers.

Catalogue Note: Ivor Noel Hume (1927-2017), O.B.E. (Order of the British Empire), F.S.A. (Fellow, Society of Antiquaries), was a distinguished scholar, author, and former director of the Department of Archaeological Research at Colonial Williamsburg.
