LATIN LANGUAGE VOLUME, "Marci Fabii Quinctiliani Opera" (The Works of Marcus Fabius Quintilianus), no date or publisher given, marbled boards, bookplate for "John Wickham / Virginia" to front pastedown; retains note addressed to Mr. Ivor Noel Hume, "Dear Mr. Hume, Thanks for you letter concerning the coin silver spoon, which Mr. John Davis was so kind to help with. I am sending you this book, as I know you are a 'doodle collector' and would appreciate it. I am sure you know about John Wickham, who was Aaron Burr's trial lawyer. I suppose this was the same person. Thank again for your help. Reuben Terry."
Fair condition overall, boards with significant wear and losses, especially to corners/edges, lacking leather to spine, interior very legible, expected moderate toning and some staining, bookplate with original text marked through with pencil, and having additional notations.
