ENGLISH SURREY COUNTY VICAR MANUSCRIPT JOURNALS / LEDGERS, LOT OF 45, spanning the years 1858 to 1917, with a nearly complete run from 1887 to 1917 (missing 1816), belonging to George Robert Comyn Chilton (1825-1917), a vicar in Surrey County, England from 1861-1897; content includes farming notes, planting schedules, writing sermons, teaching classes, visiting and travel; entries of note include "Crystal Palace show on 4 Sep.[September] 1861", "My 90th Birthday" on December 26, 1915, "wrote to Bisop for my papers" and "Prepared glasses for photography" in 1861; places noted include Puttenham Priory, "Six Acre", Guildford, and Woodbury; last entry is Friday, November 9, 1917. Hard and soft covers.
Good condition overall, readable penmanship, expected wear and some minor tears to boards and edges particularly on soft cover volumes, interiors generally very clean with expected ink stains and markings.
