ENGLISH GLASS REFERENCE VOLUMES, LOT OF THREE, comprising Hugh Willmott, "Early Post-Medieval Vessel Glass in England, c. 1500-1670", 2002, Council for British Archaeology, soft cover; Albert Hartshorne, "Old English Glasses: An Account of Glass Drinking Vessels in England, from Early Times to the End of the Eighteenth Century", 1897, Edward Arnold, London and New York, retains 40 of the original 67 plates, blue cloth boards, parchment corners and spine with printed decoration; and a facsimile of Walter Dight, "A Booke of Sundry Draughtes, Principaly Serving for Glasiers", 1898, Leadenhall Press, parchment wraps.
The first example very good overall, with wear to covers, and corners bumped/worn, interior very clean, the second example in fair condition, with significant wear and some losses to boards/spine, corners bumped and worn, spine mostly separated from binding along front hinge interior, interior pages remarkably clean, very legible, with expected toning, some minor pencil notations, some scribbles to front end papers, lacking 27 plates, as described, otherwise appears complete, the third example very good, with moderate toning throughout, otherwise very clean.
