Johnson, et al, London, stated nineteenth edition, rebound with marbled boards and leather spine with gilt lettering; "Rural Elegance Display'd, in the Description of Four Western Counties, Cornwall, Devonshire, Dorsetshire, and Somersetshire, with Additional Remarks", 1768, printed for Staples Steare, London, no author given, having engraved frontispiece, and fold-out map titled "A New Map of England and Wales", leather boards, ribbed spine with red label, gilt lettering and decoration; and Daniel Joseph Kirwan, "Palace and Hovel: or Phases of London Life", Belknap & Bliss, Hartford, CN, 1870, engraved frontispieces, impressed green cloth boards with gilt lettering and decoration.
Good condition overall, Mawe/Abercrombie example rebound as described, remainder with minor to moderate wear to boards/spines, some with significant losses, including one undescribed example with spine mostly lost, the remnant detached but present, most with bumped corners, interiors generally clean and legible, with expected toning, some foxing/staining/discoloration, Mawe/Abercrombie example with some holes and losses to title page, as well as some water stains to the same and a few following pages, some with bookplates, some with pen/pencil notations.
