AMERICAN / BRITISH HISTORY VIRGINIA COMPANY VOLUMES, LOT OF THREE, comprising volumes one and two of "The Records of the Virginia Company of London", edited by Susan Myra Kingsbury, printed by the Library of Congress in 1906; and one copy of "Selected References Relating to Johnston of Caskieben, Crimond, and Caiesmill with Reference to Alderman Robert Johnson Deputy Treasurer of The Virginia Company" by Lorand V. Johnson. Canvas cloth-covered hardcover volumes.
Very good condition overall, expected wear and some minor tears to covers/boards, particularly to spines, some foxing on edges of pages on two volumes, "Selected References Relating to Johnston of Caskieben" with some handwritten annotations inside, otherwise interiors generally very clean.
Provenance: From the research library of Ivor Noel Hume, O.B.E., F.S.A., Williamsburg, VA.
Catalogue Note: Ivor Noel Hume (1927-2017), O.B.E. (Order of the British Empire), F.S.A. (Fellow, Society of Antiquaries), was a distinguished scholar, author, and former director of the Department of Archaeological Research at Colonial Williamsburg.
