BRITISH PRIMARY SOURCE VOLUMES, LOT OF NINE, comprising 1927 volumes one and two of "The Petty Papers: Some Unpublished Writings of Sir William Petty" edited from the Boxwood Papers by the Marquis de Lansdowne; the 1856 and 1872 editions of "The Trevelyan Papers"; one 1960 "Calendar of State Papers Preserved in the Public Record Office" for the "Domestic Series, James II, Volume I, February-December 1685"; one 1860 "Calendar of State Papers" for the "Colonial Series, 1574-1660"; volumes one and two of the "Correspondence of King George the Third" edited by Sir John Fortescue; and one 1981 copy of "The Ipswich Probate Inventories, 1583-1631". All hardcover volumes.
Very good to excellent condition overall, some expected wear, small tears, or creases to covers or dust jackets, several ex-library copies.

Catalogue Note: Ivor Noel Hume (1927-2017), O.B.E. (Order of the British Empire), F.S.A. (Fellow, Society of Antiquaries), was a distinguished scholar, author, and former director of the Department of Archaeological Research at Colonial Williamsburg.
