Louis Theodore-Dubé was born in Saint-Roch Des Aulnets (Quebec) and studied in Montreal. He is recorded as a Canadian artist-copiest grantedpermission to copy works in the National Gallery, London and was known to have worked in Paris between 1891-1909 (Journal of Canadian Art History)
