LOT OF 12 ASSORTED PRE-COLUMBIAN & NATIVE AMERICAN ARTIFACTS - INCLUDES: two Salado culture bowls (larger is 4” H x 6” diameter); an orange high-walled bowl 4 1/2” H x 5 3/4” diameter (has a few chips along rim and shows extensive ancient use); a plainware globular olla 7 1/2” H (has a broken neck opening); a large plain ware bowl with notched edge 10 1/2” diameter; a plain ware small dish with three nubbin supports 4 1/8” diameter; a rounded cylindrical vessel 6” H; a gourd-shaped vessel with spout hole 4” H (thin walls on vessel, has a few small cracks); a large plain ware bowl with flaring walls 2 3/4” H x 8 1/2” diameter; a roughly made olla with some large cracks; a large tecomate with incised decoration 4 1/2” H x approx. 9” diameter (has a repair to bottom of vessel); and some fragmented southwest pueblo pottery pieces. Condition: Each of these are ancient item that show extensive use in antiquity. Flaws will be present. Some large individual flaws are listed next to item above. Provenance: Items in this lot are from the estate of South Florida collector J. J. Schmidt Jr. Each of these items were acquired before 1970.
