Description
James Earle Fraser (1876-1953) American. President Theodore Roosevelt (1920). Bas-relief bronze and iron plaque. 13 x 10 in. Signed in cast, upper right: "Fraser 19©20" Original label on verso: "Dec. Arts, 175 Fifth Avenue". Fraser apprenticed to Augustus Saint-Gaudens from 1898 until 1902, when he opened his New York studio. Important commissions included a bust of T. Rooselvelt, now in the Capitiol and the design of the five-cent "Buffalo Nickel", issued in 1913.

Minor scuffs to surface otherwise fine condition.
