MARCEL ANDRE BOURAINE (French 1886-1948) A SCULPTURE, "Tall Hoop Dancer," CIRCA 1930, Cast patinated bronze with brass ring, marble base, late signed "O. Bouraine" on top of base, stamped "136" underside of right foot. Statue height: 13", width: 10 3/8", depth: 3 3/4"; overall height: 18 3/8".
Condition
Rubbing and loss of patination at high points in casting (point of nose, chin, toes, elbows, fingers, knees), small areas of roughness in chasing on back, hoop possibly replaced.
