Civil War Captain Frederick Charles VonSchirach Signed CDV 54th NY WIA Bogardus, NY 2 3/8" x 4" Rare signed CDV of Captain Frederick Vonschirach, Bogardus NY back imprint. Served with the 54th NY as a musician, severely WIA at 2nd Bull Run on 8/29/62. Wound to his right leg was so severe that it had to be amputated. He was then commissioned into the Veteran Reserve Corps, when he signed this CDV, which reads "With pleasant recollections of the past yours truly Fred C. VonShhirach, 1st Lieut. 16th Reg Corps U.S.A."
