An open face centre seconds pocket watch by J. Haynes. 18ct yellow gold case with engraved cuvette, hallmarked London 1859. Numbered 37654. Signed key wind three quarter plate movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. White dial with Roman numeral hour markers. 49mm. 96gms.

Condition

  • Movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye.
  • Dial appears to be in a poor condition with noticeable marks and damage to the enamel. Hairline crack between 12 and 2.
  • Hands show marks and tarnishing when viewed under a x4 loupe.
  • Glass has scratches and marks.
  • Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Large personal engraving to the inner case back.
  • Hinges appear intact.
  • Pendant bow pin has been replaced with a generic screw.

    This lot does not come with box or papers.
