1930'S COUTURE PINK SILK CHANTILLY LACE GOWN AND UNDERDRESS, nude pink silk Chantilly lace ruffled gown with ruffled collar and gored skirt that outlines hips and derriere, bold fuchsia pink silk multi-layered velvet kick-pleat styled bow on front, dress slips over the head with two tiny snaps and one tiny hook and eye closure on the side; with pink silk chiffon underdress, fully lined, handkerchief hem, silk chiffon straps, no closures. Circa 1935. Gown measures approximately 55" L from shoulder to hemline; underdress measures approximately 32" bust, 26" waist, 35" hip.
Excellent condition with very light stain on lace gown, small breaks, tiny or small holes upon close inspection; underdress with slight to moderate discoloration from perspiration beneath arms and across back, indications of several weak areas in silk chiffon, otherwise gown without damage including nap on bow.
