A nice Egyptian alabaster kohl jar, Middle Kingdom, c. 2061 - 1690 BC, the body piriform flattened foot, short neck and wide, flat rim; the interior well-bored with thick walls and dark surfaces deposits inside and on the rim. H: 1 3/4 in (4.5 cm). Light deposits. Ex Washington, D.C. private collection, acquired during the early 1990's.
