Smith brass-barreled Blunderbuss, circa. late 18th-early 19th century. Was orignally a flintlock and was converted to percussion in the mid 19th century. Walnut stock with engraved brass fittings, lockplate marked Smith, brass round barrel with proof marks on the left side of the breech. Action works well, and spring bayonet releases as it should. Barrel is 14" and overall the gun is 29 1/2". Stock has some dings and handling marks. The ram rod is contemporary. Very Good
