Confederate Pike spearhead that according to family descendents was picked up from the Shiloh battlefield shortly after the battle by Private Frederick Slade of Company D, 64th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. While the 64th Ohio Infantry arrived on the field of Shiloh too late too be engaged in the battle he nevertheless souvenired this spearhead. The pike was eventually transported back home, according to family history, on the back of a supply wagon. This non excavated example is in fine condition, completely of local Confederate manufacture and made with a desirable "bridle cutter" hook. very good
