Lot 0233
Scarce brass hilt saw blade short sword made in Germany or Austria. Unfullered blade is 19 1/2" long and is serrated with a clip point, the other side is a false edge. Hilt is cast brass with ribbed grip and has been cleaned. There are no markings. Blade has dark patina and scattered pitting. The leather scabbard is very good with nice stitching and original brass mounts. The chape is lightly dented. The throat has an oval frog stud. A nice example of a very scare sword to find. Very Good
