Original Model 1831 French Infantry short sword dated 1915 at ricasso. There is an indiscernable makers mark above the date. Hilt is cast brass with a ribbed grip, the quillon is bent up on both sides. 18 3/4" blade shows dark patina with scattered pitting, and numerous edge nicks. Leather scabbard is good with wear and split seam. Original brass mounts, chape has some dents. Displays well. Good
