Hand crafted folk art that appears to have been made to commemorate a submariner's service in World War Two. Patterned on the design of an engineer's chest, This piece was made of plywood with an applied wood carving of the submariner insignia and an applied badge. Measures 17" x 11.75" x 9". The creator of this folk art inserted a wood plaque identifying himself "By John F. Snow" on the interior of the lid. At some point a 50 star flag was applied. very good
