The clock and garnitures have a nice gold colored gilt finish on the metal trim to them. The gilt finish is still quite shiny and shows well, little to no corrosion or tarnishing. Might be gold plating as well as the finish has stayed, but no way to be sure, so you be the judge before acquiring. The clock was probably made in the 1880s to 1890s period.
