Pair of Bronze, Marble and Crystal Figural Torcheres, after Julien Causse (French, 1869-1914)
the twelve-light torcheres with bases of Bacchanalian maidens holding grapes, each figure with cast signature along back edge of self base, mounted on turned mauve marble bases supported on gilt-bronze paw feet, the gilt-bronze upper portion with molded glass standards supporting bronze candle arms alternating with cut glass spires and hung with cascades of crystal drops, the top with scrolled sprays hung with prisms.

In overall good condition. The candelabra are lacking five glass pendant strands. The gilt-bronze arms
exhibit some light oxidation. Bronze figural standards have a few scattered faint nicks, surface scratches,
rubbing to patination and areas of abrading. Scattered whitish accretions and some soiling in more deeply
modeled areas. Edges of self-bases with a few small nicks - all of which are consistent with age, material
and usage. The bottom edges and undersides of the marble pedestals have some scattered chips and
losses that are not readily visible. All consistent with age, material and usage. The torcheres are electrified
and are in working order.
NOTE: The bronze bases have cast signatures: "Causse", after Julien Causse.
