Napoleon III-Style Boulle and Ebonized Desk
20th century, the superstructure with a stepped cornice above two glazed cupboards, over two drawers, the lower section with a hinged writing surface and storage well above a shaped apron centered by an ormolu putti mount, raised on cabriole legs headed by ormolu masques and ending in sabots, the whole with boulle panels and ormolu mounts and millwork.

In overall good condition, exhibiting minimal wear, abrasions and indications of age and use.
The bronze astragal between the upper doors is loose. A bronze foot is detached but present.
Tight and sturdy, with no movement noticed at the juncture of the legs and case.
Locks are present. A functioning key is included.
There is a missing piece of brass inlay from the center of the desk lid that is detached but present. There
is a loss near that piece, about 1/4" wide by 1 3/4" long. There is a loose piece of brass inlay, the loose
end sticking up.
