Daniel Myron LeFever (American, 1835-1906). Serial Number: 6289. Shotgun Length: 22 1/8". Rib: "D.M. Lefever Maker and Patentee Syracuse N.Y." Side Plates: "D.M. Lefever Hammerless Pat. June 20, 1880." Underneath: "Pat. 1872 and 1875." Double barrel hammerless break action 10 gauge shotgun is cocked by a lever mounted through the side plate. Firearm features Damascus barrels, double triggers, splinter fore-end, and floral scroll work with hunting dogs on the plates.

Condition

Good Condition; the right internal hammer does not stay cocked, and firearm displays overall wear consistent with age and use, including a wood chip by right side plate and a large crack throughout grip.
