Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A pair of miniature pendants, one of pale green glass and one of dark-brown faience, each with integral suspension loops and mold-pressed designs. The front face of the glass pendant has the head of a large-antlered stag on the front, an unadorned back, and a fiery layer of rainbow-colored iridescence. The faience pendant has a series of Egyptian hieroglyphs on the obverse side and an unadorned, light-brown verso. A lovely duo from the ancient Roman Empire! Suspension cord for photography use only. Size: 0.75" H (1.9 cm).
