Lot 0015 Details

Description
Size 9. 19.0mm inner diameter. Band is 4.4mm wide. Tapered band flared to circular bezel with cross shaped flower motif with lineal leaf infill. Well preserved with good patina. While Pilgrims were readily identifiable, they were increasingly less welcome after the introduction of Islam in the 7th century which ultimately contributed to the Crusades. The motif on this ring is likely a dedication to the cross and the sacrifice it represented, clear to the wearer but obscured to non-Christians. Professionally refurbished with the gold overlay restored for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.

Please note that this lot has a confidential reserve. When you leave a bid in advance of the auction, submit your maximum. The bidder who has submitted the highest bid wins the lot, provided the bid exceeds the reserve price.
