Two late Victorian 18ct gold diamond and gem rings. To include a circular-shape ruby and old-cut diamond band ring, and a circular-shape blue paste and old-cut diamond cluster ring. Estimated total diamond weight 0.35ct. One with hallmarks for Chester, 1899. Total weight 6gms.

Condition

  • Overall condition good. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Cluster ring is composed of component parts of similar ages.
  • Some stones are later replacements.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Rubies are a medium pinkish red hue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Rubies are in good condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the facet edges.

  • Paste is a vibrant deep blue hue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Paste is in good condition with some minor nibbles to the facet edges.
