**First Time At Auction**

Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th through 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. An attractive wooden plume from a Ptah Sokar Osiris figure. The plume is a double Atef feather crown in green and red checker pattern on buff, with a reflective gold-hued circular base; remnants of checker pattern on reverse side, and a small wooden peg inserted on base. Size: 3.5" H (8.9 cm).

Condition

Plume is from the head of a larger wooden figure. Expected surface abrasions with pigment wear and loss commensurate with age. Overall intact with chalky white deposits throughout.
