Description
1st millennium BC. A gilt bronze belt plate, flat to one side and half moon to the other; decorated with repousse ibex to the top and bottom with oval shield to the centre; two pins to the back. 12 grams, 35mm (1 1/2"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired from a major Mayfair gallery; acquired on the London art market before 2000.
