A very rare factory engraved Colt Pocket Positive with spectacular deep-sunk medallion pearl grips with serial No. 92838, manufactured 1920. R.L. Wilson states that fewer than 100 Pocket Positives were factory engraved and this one is a particularly attractive factory engraved gun with delicate scrolls and a sunburst in panel on right side of frame. Barrel retains nearly all of its original bluing, as does the cylinder and frame. The right side of frame is browning slightly and backstrap shows carrying wear to blue. Bore is brilliant. Trigger has almost all of its original blue finish. Blue on hammer saddle still bright, sides of hammer bright polished. Thick factory grips are in excellent condition with one extremely minor chip at very top of left grip. This is a beautiful and extremely rare and beautiful Colt Double Action with the desirable extra-short barrel.
