She is seated with a riding crop in her hand and her maroon colored hat is adorned with taxidermied birds. Done in the art style associated with Jean-Baptiste Bertrand (French, 1823-1987). A label en verso reads ''P. Cerisier, Fabricant de cadre'' with an address in Brussels. Very nice condition with a web of craquelure across the surface.
