This lot consists of a vibrant hand-signed watercolor on paper, signed "Henri Matisse" at lower left. This piece is an interpretation of Matisse's 1926 painting, 'Seated Odalisque'. Image depicts a topless female figure, seated on a yellow and green chair, adorned with strand after strand of brilliant pearls. The walls behind her are papered with an Oriental-style mosaic of bright blue and red designs. Her face is relaxed and composed. Done in the Expressionist style of Henri Matisse (French, 1869-1954). Measures approximately 8" x 12".
