This lot consists of a HAND SIGNED and Numbered fine art print on paper, hand signed 'Francis Bacon' and numbered '70/100'. Against a forbidding background of pure black, the smeared, pallid face of a man is depicted head-on. The subject appears to be well dressed, with a collared shirt, a tie, and neatly combed hair. His face, however, is a surreal conglomerate of dark and under-saturated tones - grey, white, slate blue, pale pink. It is done in the grotesque Expressionist style of Modern Artist Francis Bacon (British-Irish, 1902-1992). Overall excellent condition. Image is depressed into the paper indicating plate marks. Overall measures 8" x 12".
Overall: 12"H x 8"W
