A gilt wood Japanese Guanyin dating from the 18th to 19th centuries. Guanyin has a large mandorla and lotus pedestal.

Dimensions are: 33 inches tall X 13 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: There are a number of small cracks and wear to the exterior.

Provenance: From the estate of Jerry Lee Musslewhite who traveled extensively in Asia while working for the State Department in the 1950s and 1960s. Over one hundred of his items were auctioned off at Christie's in New York City in 2010 and 2011.
