Circa 1825, Edgefield, South Carolina, likely Pottersville. The massive pitcher having an excellent form, much like that of Dave's work during this period. The handle attaching closely to the rim, again a characteristic of Dave. The piece having three punctuates at the upper body and an impressed horseshoe near the base. The tip of the spout is broken away. The interior of the rim having some nicks. There is a puncture at middle body 1" long. The bottom of the jar is original but has been reinforced with glue as it had some separation, this is stable. H16 1/2"
