The 17" tall early doll has the facial characteristics commensurate with Barrois although unmarked. She has blue glass inset eyes, closed mouth with highlighted lips, and nice pale bisque with well-contrasted rouged cheeks. The body is white kid with narrow waist with gusset joints at the hips and a hinge joint at the knee allowing for greater articulation with wooden lower legs. The arms are also fully articulated with a swivel joint at the shoulders, and bisque arms that go to above the elbows. The costume is an 1870's style two piece walking dress made of antique silk fabrics, braid trim and crimped ribbons with a well-coordinated hat over a black human hair wig over cork pate and old leather boots, which are most likely not as old as the doll itself. Missing one bisque pinky finger on one hand. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: 17" T.
