Both dolls are approximately 12" tall with bisque socket heads that swivel on separate bisque shoulder plates on all white kid bodies with individually stitched fingers. Both are unmarked. The brown eyed doll is almost certainly by Gauthier and wears her original blond mohair wig with long braids swept up and attached to the top of the head and wears part of her original French regional costume consisting of a red wool skirt, part of the waistband and some underwear. The blue eyed doll has more characteristics of Jumeau than F.G. with very nice almond eye cuts. Wearing only a midnight blue velvet coat with light blue braid trim, a replaced sheepskin wig and an antique bonnet with lace, pale green ribbons, and long ribbon trail in back and clogs on her feet. Both have some typical age wear to the body, the blue eyes doll with greater age wear and some tape around the wrists. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: Each: 12" T.
