Lot 0202
1840-1880s lot of 4 architectural cast iron dividing panels used in (high-end) horse stables in the late Victorian period. Each cast iron panel was mounted on the top edge of the wooden wall that was common between 2 stalls. That gives some extended "wall" between the 2 horses, yet allowed light & air to circulate better. The long edge (with tabs) sat on top of the wooden stall divider and the shorter straight edge was fixed to the back wall/exterior wall of the stall, 69" H x 28" W x 1/2"D.
