Lot 0148
VIN# 185600833 Mileage: unknown

described by the owner as "one of a kind". This car was restored in 1990 with the body off the frame, and during re-assembly the flathead V-8 was scrapped for an Oldsmobile 350 c.i. V-8 engine and three-speed automatic transmission, late-model Buick steering components and column were fitted, and a Chevrolet Nova rear-end installed. Chassis Engineering products were used to complete the chassis restoration. With a four-wheel disc brake conversion, new rear springs and mounts, and motor mounts. Dennis Carpenter electric windshield wipers were installed. New tinted glass was installed by Alamance Glass using Carpenter seals and rubber. Air-Conditioning and heat were installed by a local shop. Dual exhaust and Oldsmobile 15" Rallye style wheels were added with whitewall tires. The underbody was corrected and is still very clean. The black paint looks great. Interior is covered in burgundy crushed velvet, with tan carpet and headliner by LeBaron Bonney. Gauge cluster is not original and some gauges have been added. New running boards covers, treated fuel tank and chrome by Dennis Carpenter were used. A non-original front bumper was installed. Most of the work was done by local craftsmen and shops.
