A CELTIC DAGGER WITH BRONZE HILT, 3RD-1ST CENTURY

Origin: Celtic area of Europe, 3rd – 1st century B.C.
Dimensions: total length - 39,5 cm, blade's length - 25,4 cm, blade's max. width - 53 mm, blade's thickness - 2,5 mm. Weight - 379 g.
A straight single edged blade, wide in about ½ from the hilt, then starts tapering from the upper towards the tip. Narrow bronze hilt of round cross-section, with cross grooves and wider disc-shape pommel.
Condition report: In stable excavated condition. Blade conserved. Bronze hilt with green original patina.
